My Book List

Just some books that helped me in some way

  • Worthy by Jamie Kern Lima

I am about a third of the way through this book and the biggest nugget so far has been how your circle may not seem exactly comfortable or supportive with what you are trying to achieve; it’s not because it’s a bad idea…it’s because you’re the FIRST one in the circle to try something new or different. It doesn’t mean that what you’re doing isn’t worthy or that you’re not worthy.

  • Atomic Habits by James Clear

Although I knew what I wanted to achieve, I often struggled with consistency and found it difficult to get started. I learned that taking even the smallest step and making it a habit was key to building momentum.

  • The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck... by Mark Manson

Why do we often overthink and blow things out of proportion? What is it that we truly want? What are our priorities, and what commands our attention and focus?

  • Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert

Seeking inspiration? Let go of fear and other obstacles, creating space to be open and receptive when inspiration strikes.

  • Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner

I didn’t fully realize that my parents expressed their love in their own unique way. Reading a novel about a Korean American woman trying to reconnect with her Korean mother, who is battling cancer, gave me valuable insights into this dynamic.

  • We Were Dreamers by Simu Liu

I connected greatly with the son (Simu) who struggled to appreciate or understand his immigrant parents, taking much of their sacrifices for granted. He was focused on carving out his own path, one that differed from the stable, traditional careers his parents had hoped for him.

  • Olivia Newton-John - Don't Stop Believin'

Accompanied by her album Grace & Gratitude, this autobiography reveals how Olivia lived her life with hope, appreciation, humility, and gratitude—even after her cancer diagnosis. and her 20+ year fight to combat the disease. I aim to live my life and treat myself and others with that grace.
